Keynote: "Moving and Our Schools: How Important Is This Transitions Business Really?"

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this opening keynote, Doug Ota asks us some uncomfortable questions.  How do you cope with dealing with mobility in your life?  Who struggles with the constant arrival and departure of important people?  Do you have to move to be in transition?  Or can you stay put and still be “in transition”?  Is this something we really have to deal with in our workplaces, or is the interest in mobility—and Ota’s keynote—just another passing fad?

In this 45-minute turbo flight, Ota will seek to meet you wherever you are.  This keynote is designed to get you thinking about your relationship to the inevitable changes that occur in the social landscape at international schools.  It doesn’t matter if you’re convinced of the importance of dealing with these issues, or if you’re skeptical; Ota’s keynote seeks to connect the issues at play to your experience.  Only then can you decide if they’re worth addressing at your school.
